Electrical problems
Please can anyone advise on a legal basis. I got my new a3 quattro on lease on March 00. After 3 weeks I noticed problems with electric windows that have a mind of their own, an alarm that can go off constantly for no reason, internal lights that come on and off while driving. Now I also find that the internal lock button does not work anymore.
The car is now nearly 9 months old and been in to the dealer 4 times for the problems.
What are my rights to get a new car as my neighbours are going mad (I can sleep through the alram myself). Does the tradinig standards act - "fit for purpose" apply to this.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks and regards
What have Audi UK said, what documentation have you got ie history of issues, whats the dealer saying?
What major bits have been replaced?
Whats the small print in your lease say and have you contacted leasing co (they effectively own the car...)
No answers sorry but maybe a few ideas?
I also know a colleague @ work who had a gremlin car - bad batch friday afternoon/rare slip in Quality? Audi replaced loads but didnt recall the car so don't know if that the answer you were looking for. I'd get detailing and logging everthing now!
T Sport.
