Having trouble installing mirror covers

I'm trying to install a set of mirror covers I got a while ago. I'm having a hard time getting the old cover off. There appear to be two clips holding the black molding underneath to the cover itself. One is clearly accessible, the other is stuck in behind the power mirror servo bracket (see image, highlighted in red).
Anyone know how the trick to releasing that non-accessible clip?
I'm following Project A3's how-to:
http://www.fourtitude.com/news/publish/Features/printer_1636.shtml
But it doesn't give much info on how to get the clips unlatched and I don't want to break anything
Anyone know of any other how-tos? Fourtitude's search seems broken today and Audiworld only turns up a handful of matches seaching for a3 mirror cap or a3 mirror cover

Took me awhile, but...
... Finally managed to get it.
The trickiest part is getting the cover clipped over a tab that's attached to the mirror housing itself (not the underside that comes out when you remove the two screws). That has to be put in place before the rest of it can fit together. It's a pain it the butt, and not very easy to illustrate and/or articulate, but once you get it, it's pretty simple. Just takes some finess.
