I know this the old CHIP question but REVO is looking good does anyone know about the SPS Mod...
I want the option to go back to stock at any time and not let the dealer see that I am chipped.
I have always had APR and like there products however reading the board REVO seems to be the fav around here.
Any comments or comparisons on all of the mods from APR, Neuspeed etc.
Thanks

I have both and can give you a direct comparison.
APR is significantly more powerful than REVO in the lower RPMs. I used to think that it would be a bad thing, but the extra power down low has helped immensely with daily driving around town, and allows me to keep my RPMs down low (shifting at 4k instead of 5k or 6k with REVO) The gains with REVO are mostly above the 3krpm range and thus require you to really wring out the engine to get the most performance.
Also, there are several driveability "bugs" in REVO that are not apparent in APR. (i.e. cold start strangeness, low RPM/high-moderate boost stumbling, on-off hiccups in high-gear, loss of hp/tq over stock under 2,75rpms)
REVO relies on their SPS unit in order for the customer to tune their own chip. APR relies on their expertise to find a generic setting that is best for all people using that grade of gasoline. REVO runs lean compared to APR and other chip-tuning companies, and they also disable factory safeguards that prevent the turbo from overheating.
Lastly, REVO doesn't guarantee lifetime reflashing for your vehicle. Essentially, you don't own your software. If you lose your program in any way other than a dealer reflash or ecu replacement (you need to show proof of this), you will have to buy the REVO flash again at full cost. (confirmed with REVO N/A as well as my distributor) No other company in the business does this; when you purchase a flash from them, you are guaranteed the flash for the lifetime of the vin#, to the original purchaser.
In the end, after trying the latest APR reflash, I feel that APR makes a substantially better product that makes great power without sacrificing engine longevity.
I have included a link to several logs I've done and a glimpse inside REVO tuning. I haven't updated it with the newest info I have, so you should check that thread often.

Right, because REVO doesn't give you lifetime reflashes.
I paid $400 for a program that i can't get reflashed if I lose it in any way other than having the dealer reflash it or replace the ecu.
