Default Owner question. What are you paying for A3 insurance?

Me: $800 a year with full coverage as stipulated by lease. Farmers - we also have house and other cars with same agent.

Default Sounds like what I'm paying.

Two cars, AAA Insurance, no homeowners, but do renters with them. I'll have to doublecheck.

Default Well since Mercury Insurance doesn't even have

the A3 in their system yet I think they're benchmarking it with the 2005 A4 2.0T. In that case I will be paying about $1,200/yr. that includes full comprehensive, etc.

Default I hope they're providing the lubricant at least!

Sounds like you're getting the full bend-over policy. :-)

Default Ouch! Have a friend who paid $4K for a WRX. One minor ticket

for rolling thru a red after mid-night. He wasn't even the primary driver - his parents were! He was around 20 at the time.

I am in the same boat: same carrier, and about the same price.

Default I forget exactly what it was

06 A3 was about ~2K full coverage dad listed as primary driver

00 Jetta was ~1200 full coverage dad listed as the primary driver

94 Grand Cheroke ~1300 just liability Me listed as the primary driver

I have 9 points on my license currently, was suspended for 60 days last year for a ticket.. which put me over 12points or over and got me another 30 days. 3 dropped off for being good for over a year which is why I have 9. Insurance is only looking at my last 5 point ticket that got me suspended, the rest are forgiven.

I"ve got 2 other project cars, a car for sale and a motorcycle not currently registered or insured just because it costs so damn much...
