RS3 rear noise... gone when taking out fuse

RS3 rear noise... gone when taking out fuse
My car (18 rs3) has been making this rotational noise, sort of like a grinding/wub wub so I took out the haldex fuse and all was OK again.
Does this mean I need a fluid change? or a complete replacement?
also is it damaging to the Haldex by driving 2wd for a week or two?
