Tilt angle sensor and Abs no codes
Hey all, I recently had my 09 a3 brought in to the dealer to have the ABS recall as well as my 65k service. The updates went well, but when the tech removed my horn he noticed some wires disconnected and a spring missing. They completed the updates but left the wires disconnected. I now have the ABS sensor and Tilt Angle sensor light on my dash. I have a cheap Vagcom reader which does not pull up any error codes. The dealership quoted me around 1400 for the part (I believe a clockspring or possibly the whole airbag/horn with springs). I had purchased this car used and the horn never worked properly it needed a good amount of force in the right area in order to work. I was told if the wires were connected the horn would not stop sounding.
So what I gather from all this is I was sold a vehicle with a rigged horn because the missing spring would cause the horn to go off endlessly and my horn currently functions via some disconnected wires that are pressure sensitive.
If the issue is really just a measly spring id hate to dish out 1400 in order to replace the entire part any advice is much appreciated!
