2015 A3 Cabriolet: Is voice disabled?/rear seat headrests
#51
Update... So it actually fits perfectly now since I modified the wind deflector... I had to stand on the headrest to bend the metal slightly so that the headrest would fit closer to the back of the seat. The fitment is now perfect! The headrest I bought from eBay are for the 09-16 Audi A4 B8 Black Leather. The colour is a perfect match as well as the stitching.

wouldn't it be easier just to remove the rear headrest all together. The euro style looks like it could be uncomfortable for passengers. The rare times that I have had passengers in the back seat, I could just replace the headrests.

Personally I wouldn't want to have missing headrest... it wouldn't look right. Driving the past few days with the low profile headrest has changed my driving experience. Visibility is amazing with the roof up! They also push up when someone is sitting there, so comfort is not an issue... I am very happy I did it... also looks great with the roof down.

Here is a video installing the low-profile headrests, like the euro cabriolet... I also had to modify my wind deflector... Sorry for the longish video, but worth it if you want to do this mod!

hey, I really like your YouTube videos, you just got another subscriber (I am going to paint my brake calipers to match yours, thanks to your vid) just took some extra photos to show you how I got my wind deflector to fit, the difference is.. I used 05-08 A4 headrests, which are shaped differently than your 09 headrests. Mine go further back, actually mine are so far back the first time I raised and lowered my top it popped the plastic protector covering the ROPS and I thought I broke it... but then I just smooshed them a little in the back and it rubs very gently, but not as much as it did at first and it was just a plastic clip, the plastic ROPS cover easily popped back in. The wind deflector goes on much easier with the shape of these headrests because they are angled differently.
And for a tip, (I live in Ohio, so it's just as necessary as in Canada) when you put your wind deflector on, its easiest to do
from outside the car, put it in rigid, line up the far holes... Then release the lever in the middle to make it fold slightly. THEN get the two closer ones.

Thanks for liking my videos!
I really think they are the same headrests... What I did was actually stand on them (on the floor) and bent the metal back so that they fit tight again the seat back... no issues with catching on anything... really works amazing! What a difference this makes... It's interesting that your deflector already came with the indent reversed and mine didn't... don't know why they would do that.... Thanks again for the tip and feedback, really appreciate it!

I tried this, and it worked. However, now the telephone button no longer works.... and my phone has lost its Bluetooth connection. Any thoughts, anyone?
