Another issue to update. Yesterday on way home from work my vehicle went into limp mode and it had to be towed to dealer. Needless to say my experience with Audi is starting to sour despite the fact I love driving this car when it works. Good thing it happened at a red light so I can safely pulled over into a development. It could had been bad if it happened a few miles earlier. My confidence in this car is shaken. car is stock. No mod.

On my 2015 A3, Sport/Tech ... It was great to 28k miles not a tick, then
* Stumbles on acceleration, had no power and jerked - yet no CEL
* Replaced the MMI due to crackle in the speaker
* Replaced Fuel Pump due to Stumble. ( Didn't fix)
* Replaced Transmission was clunking from Rev to Drive ( could have been stumble issue) (didn't Fix)
* Turbo issue have trans Replaced.
Now in a 2017 S3... Problem solved

Hopefully that will take care of your problems and it is covered under warranty. I have been there and done that on expensive repairs on other brands, the most expensive of which was within $500 of replacing the engine before negotiation (timing chain broke 100 miles after power train expired and wiped out just about everything but the block). Replacing the engine is definitely something any brand does not do frequently or without investigation of all alternates.
I suppose when it is all said and done, screw ups do not matter. Some do happen on any brand. It is how they deal with the screw up, and whether they correct the problem and how they deal with you that is important.
That said, Audi is not as reliable as some brands on the market. There are some more reliable than some others. We need to keep in mind that the reason we bought the car was not that as a primary objective. My other car is a Lexus. It is way more reliable. I do not drive it any more times than I have to based on accommodating large passengers and the fact my wife really likes it. The A3 has a lot of other major redeeming features. It is a DRIVERS car for those who really appreciate that. Admittedly not all can appreciate that. My wife cannot. IMO that is worth a lot. It balances some of the rest for some.

I disagree with the statement that Audis are not reliable. My 2015 S5 was flawless. Drove it hard for almost 30,000 miles without any needed repairs, just scheduled service. Our current 2015 A3 has just under 25,000 miles and has needed nothing other than scheduled service and our 2016 S7 is the same at 16,000 miles. We do not baby these cars but we also do not abuse them. Our experience leads me to believe that Audi is a very reliable brand.

2016 A3 1.8t TFSI premium
Got it a month ago as CPO with 19000 miles. One month and less than 1000 miles later, I had it towed to an Audi dealer. Why? I was on a fwy going about 50-60 mph when all of a sudden it started to jerk/stutter. As I tried to accelerate, it slowed down while jerking. No CEL whatsoever. I had to exit and pull into a parking lot. Waiting for dealer to give me some good news.

2016 and just hit 12K with no issues yet. Hoping it stays that way! I want to mod it (more than upgrading the subwoofer and adding an amp as I've already done) but posts like these scare me into keeping the engine stock...
