While I have never seen a non-Apple Lightning to HDMI adapter, that's what the top link is. If it works, that unit would plug into a HDMI to analog video adapter you don't link, and then into an AMI analog video cable (which the bottom link seems to be).

How would the set up change for an S8+ that has a USB C port. I had it working for my sony android with mhl port. But I bougth the samsung adaptor but the green is just green.

Seems this can not be done on a 2017 S3 that has only the USB port, no mmi port. Is there any workaround? Thanks.
