Raidin,

A really easy question for you or anyone else that owns the RS3.
Can the (Rear-Seat Headrest) be totally removed ???
Like maybe push a Button-Release and pull them up and out completely ???
If so I am going to remove mine for sure for even better rear-visibility.
I don't have kids so will not need them if they can possibly be removed ???

If they can be Removed would you mind shooting a few pictures possibly showing how they come-out ???

I just went and tried (I tried one of the outboard ones and the center one). While the headrests can all go up and down, they don't seem to be removeable. I tried with a lot of force, and nothing. My Lexus (CT 200h) allows you to remove the center headrest, but not the outboard ones. You can, however, move them up and fold them down.

Sadly, the RS3's won't do anything but go up and down.

I assume that what you mean is to press and hold the traction off/on button for a few seconds, right?
ESC has three settings: on (default)/ sport / off. a short press from on gives you sport. a short press from sport goes back to on. a long press from on gives off. a long press from sport does not give off.

Hi Raidin,

Well buddy I do have the answer to those Rear-Seat-Headrest and if they can actually be (Removed) ???
Yes is the answer ..........
I contacted my selling Audi Dealership's service department and spoke with one of the Service Consultants yesterday morning.
He actually did follow-up and called me back late afternoon yesterday with the answer.
It's not as simple as some cars where all you do is Push the Release that's located next to the rear seat.
In this case it's more "Difficult" ................
It takes like a thin-blade-screw-driver to reach the necessary area and to get to the part that UN-Leashes the the Rear-Seat-Headrest.
He said once mine arrives simply jump in and look around and if it would be a benefit for even better Rear-Vision they will remove those for me.
They will do that and program my cellphone while I'm in the business office finalizing the paperwork.

So, I'm all set and thanks for taking a look buddy.

I know that but that wasn't the issue. The issue was can it be turned off while driving or only when standing still? I'm almost sure that it can be turned off while driving

I believe there was a thread a while back about replacing these with the low profile rear headrests they offer in Europe. Might be worth looking into as well....

https://europrice.us/headrests-a3-s3-rear

Leatherette for $525, real leather for $700

They also have some interesting steering wheel options: https://europrice.us/steering-wheels...facelift-style

Nate,

Just went and checked that out.
I think I am in !!!
I wish I could see the Leather in Black with the RED stitching to see if it (Matches) the Factory Black with RED stitching ???

If I can find a real picture I'm going to place the order for the Black W/Red stitching in leather.
I really think they will look AWESOME guys and they won't be Sticking-Up.

Terry

Up-Date guys,
I think I located that thread on the European rear headrest.
It's not about the RS3 but it does have some clear-large pictures and gives the general idea I think of what to expect.

Guys,

I just now sent the below E-Mail to EUROPRICE so we shall see what they say ???

I wish to inquiry about the Rear-Head-Rest for the 2019 RS3 I have on order.
I see they can be ordered in (Leather), Black W/Red-Stitching.
Do you know if these will be an (Exact) match to the Factory with same interior, Black W/Red Stitching ???
I would really like to see an actual Large picture of them, please, before I place my order.
Below is a Direct Link to a picture of an RS3 and I think (Maybe) your Low-Profile Rear-Head-Rest in the Black W/Red Stitching ???

I appreciate your assistance,
Terry Honaker from the USA
