Sold my RS3 alloys and tires the week after I took delivery of the Audi, as it's SUMMER ONLY Pirelli's were worthless in our 27°F weather!
My current RS 3 configuration has served us well and I am looking forward to involving the new Michelin 4S in the same size, probably next month.
I ran our modified BMW E28 for 30 years on these roads and I have to say our current Audi is the superior vehicle. Not only the significant
power increase, but the RS 3's handling in its present configuration is certainly superior. Very pleased with it.

Yeah pretty much any summer tire is going to be garbage in winter...

For winter I run 225/40 18 Nokian R3 on Neuspeed RSe10 18x8.5 wheels. Great winter tires.

Summer (just last weekend!) switch back to the stock staggered wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, 255/30 19 in front and 235/35 19 in the back. They are so much better than the Pirellis.

Just passed 56,000 miles and no issues yet.

I run the new Michelin PSAS4s. Better than my old PS4S in that it has decent snow traction. The few times I drove on PS4S in the snow, I was not comfortable. But that's a given since they aren't meant for winter driving.

This is exactly what I am looking for. Is your car running on stock spring and suspension set up? My car is due for a tire change and I am a little tired of the reverse stagger configuration. I would like to run 255 on all 4 corners.

totally stock, wifes car daily driver, just bought a pair of oem front wheels . before we did this I swapped the front to the rear to check, zero issues driving it around for a few days so now all 4 corners the same. IMHO the car should have come with 255 35 19 all around so we had better tire choices, the staggered setup is almost as moronic as not being able to get a carbon roof instead of the super heavy stupid sunroof in the worst place possible for a performance car

I've just been through a bit of a tire journey myself. Stock RS3 sport suspension, staggered Pirelli's, which wore out way too fast and then one was destroyed. I ordered the same factory staggered size 255/235's in the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S until I read the internet. I now have 245/35/19's on all four corners, I went with the 93Y over the 89Y ratings.

I don't have any rubbing, the wheel wells are definitely full, and if anything, I feel I may have more tire than I need. I'm sure 235's would also of been a significant upgrade over the Pirellis.

why on earth audi did not go with 255/35-19 all around is beyond me tons of tires in this size and all seasons as well.........255-30-19 is one horrible size, anybody try a 265/30-19 conti all season on factory rim?

FYI - As of yesterday 5/11/21 our 2019 RS 3 with its 18x8.5" Neuspeed RSe10 wheels wearing Michelin A/S3+ 245/40/18 has completed 19,089 miles of which 13,744 miles have been fast country back roads in VA and WVA during week days only, 10am-2pm weather permitting. This configuration has been a truly high perfromance configuration. Michelin A/S 4S on another set of Neuspeed RSe10 wheels are awaiting use, when the current tires reach 3mm tread depth. They are now at 7.5mm at their current 19,089 mileage.

I've been running country back roads starting in 1958 in Malibu Canyon, now in northern VA since 1973 running VA and WVA country back roads.

How does the 18 inch rims work for the front? I also want to grab a set of 18" wheels for track days but I am worried about the brake rotors at the front being so massive (and not to mention that gigantic brake caliper also). Any info would be much appreciated.
