Hi guys. I'm planning on purchasing a 2016 S3 within the month, but can't decide if I want the black optics pack or not. My dilemma is I'm not fond of the wheels that come with it here in the U.S. and prefer the other 19" wheels that come with the standard performance pack. So should I go with it and try and sell the wheels or get the regular performance pack and have the chrome parts done black in the aftermarket? Not sure about the popularity of the 19" V spoke wheels, maybe they will be easy to sell. Thank you

The black optics packages looks great. I was debating between both as well and ended up going for it. Have you seen the BO wheels in person yet? They look NOTHING like what Audi's website configurator portrays. They're gorgeous. What color car are you planning on getting?

No, haven't seen them in person yet, I'll keep that in mind! Planning on sepang blue or monsoon gray. Leaning more towards sepang though, such a beautiful color.

I got Sepang as well and it looks AWESOME with the BO package. Just need the spring to come quickly so I can keep it clean. Color POPS no matter what the lighting is.

Yeah, it's crazy how different the color looks depending on the lighting. I've mostly seen in videos only a couple in person.

I also picked up a Sepang Prestige S3 this week. Got it with Black Optics and Sport seats. Love the look of the wheels and the seats look awesome.

I had the same dilemma, liked black optics but not the wheels. Ended up going without BO package because I was going to go with an RS3 grill, but turns out the grills out there have problems with the front proximity sensors.

You could go to a body shop and ask them how much it would cost to blackout the grill and trim (look at RyanS3 's car). Color matched mirror caps are free I believe, but personally I like the aluminum mirrors. Adds a little accent in my opinion.

Sepang all the way. Love the color, I get regular compliments on the color by random people.

Yeah I think I'm going to go to a body shop for the window trim and grille. Ryan's car looks great.
