Default Sorting out suspensions, rankings firm to soft

Trying to figure out if the MagRide on 19's in Comfort mode is softer than Standard suspension.

These are the options I see:
1) Non-mag 18's all season Continental Contiprocontact
2) Non-mag 18's summer only Continental Contisport 5
3) Non-mag 19's summer only self upgrade Continental Contisport 5
4) MagRide 19's summer only Comfort Mode Continental Contisport 5
5) MagRide 19's summer only Dynamic Mode Continental Contisport 5
6) MagRide 18's all season self downgrade Continental Contiprocontact

Based on your experience, sort by softest to most firm. I'm curious on everyones take on this.

Default Let's really get to the meat of the issue...

In addition to your options, let's rank the entire continuum with permutations of wheel size and tire type.

a) non-MagRide Standard suspension
b) non-MagRide Sport suspension
c) MagRide comfort setting
d) MagRide auto setting
e) MagRide dynamic setting

Then on top of that, what is the air pressure variation?

I think this is going to be hard.

Interesting. You live in the NY state area. Did you put winter tires on your s3 on 18's for the winter months?

Also, what did you base your info on regarding the nonmag always being softer even on 19s, than all settings on MagRide?

Thanks.

I didn't order them in my prior email, I was trying to provide all the various combinations to be ranked. I would order them slightly differently. I never drove an A3 with sport suspension nor a S3 without MagRide Sport Suspension. Thinking further, there may be a difference between an A3 with Sport Suspension vs S3 with Std Sport Suspension.

My 18" winter tires (Michelin X-Ice 3) are so much more comfortable than my 19" summer tires (ContiSportContact 5P).

So here is my revised ranking (soft to hard):

1. non-MagRide Standard suspension - 18" winter tire
2. MagRide comfort setting - 18" winter tire
3. non-MagRide Sport suspension - 18" winter tire
4. MagRide auto setting - 18" winter tire
5. MagRide dynamic setting - 18" winter tire
6. non-MagRide Standard suspension - 19" summer tire
7. MagRide comfort setting - 19" summer tire
8. non-MagRide Sport suspension - 19" summer tire
9. MagRide auto setting - 19" summer tire
10. MagRide dynamic setting - 19" summer tire

i would think the mag ride in comfort mode with the downgradaded 18s would be the softest.
firmest would be mag ride with the 19s

pretty sure mag ride out performs at each end of the spectrum

Living in west central PA I'm still shocked every time I drive at how nice of a ride the 19-in mag ride is while on its comfort setting.
For the winter I'll be installing 18-in all all seasons which I have to believe will ride buttery smooth.

Why wouldn't you install winter tires for the winter? Winter tires have more grip than all season tires in the cold temperatures. And since the tire compound is softer, probably has a softer ride in the respective winter temperature.

You are absolutely correct. I'm so used to AWD cars running all season tires all year that I never considered winter tires.
Thanks for suggesting.....

FWIW -- When I had my 335i in upper state New York, I put Blizzacks on during winter months. Two 70 pound sandbags over each wheel well in the trunk, and I *never* had a problem in the snow.
However, when it was not snowing, I absolutely *hated* how the car handled and how bouncy it felt.
