Dealer just confirmed my car was built, VIN produced and in transit from factory.. expected to arrive by October is my guess. Super excited as I placed my order last May, but sounds like Audi finally starting to get some consistent movement across the board

FWIW.. when my order got updated to a 2024 the black roof never got optioned even though i had black optics optioned since 2022 so if its true that the black roof removes sunroof this year then i lucked out for sure

If in fact it's "in transit from factory" it should arrive way before October.

i think this is wrong. My dealer informed me that my order will have a sunroof with the black roof, as stated in the order guide. They just decided to make it an option for people to have the roof black or the color of the car, essentially.

My dealer was incorrect. They reached out to Audi and confirmed it keeps sunroof. Just a bad picture they used in builder.

To add another datapoint, I just got an email from Audi today saying that my 2023 (ordered May 2022) is finally in transit from the factory. ETA is last two weeks of August. My "in production" and "left the factory" notices came in early May and late June, respectively.

If Audi is already building and shipping 2024s, seems like my build must have been at the very end of the 2023 run.

Anyone else with a 2023 still in transit?

Based on the allocations my dealer received, the first of 2024 models are scheduled for 4th QTR production.

My '24 was produced at the end of June and is now sitting at the Davisville port waiting for transport to the dealer.

I think you're right for allocations just received. Those are probably late '23/early '24 deliveries. But there were '23 MY allocations that were rolled to '24 that are being built and delivered soon (I hope). I am a bit worried about a delay at port since they have to recertify for emissions.

I guess. My thought was that dealers received '24 allocations after Audi announced the the changes and the prices for that model year (June '23). At least, that's what happened with my dealer and how I ended up with my allocation. Please keep us updated with your car once you take delivery.
