Anyone have an idea on how to remove the front license plate bracket on a RS5 SB? I am stuck on how this thing is attached to the honeycomb grille. Thanks!

Looks like maybe your dealer used rivets to fasten it? That's odd.

The grille has to hexes in the design dedicated to the front plate holder. They are filled in (solid) with dimples for locating the screws, which go through the plate holder into the grille at that location. You can see them in my grille below, they're a couple hexes down from the outer rings.

Once you remove the screws, the plate holder is held in with clips. If you feel around from the top of the plate holder and behind the honey comb grille, you should feel/see what i'm referring too. Once you unclip from the attachment to the grille, it will come right off.

I cannot feel behind the plate holder (from the honeycomb forward) Do you think those holes in mine are rivets that can be drilled (carefully) out?
