A5 Convertible - Opening Roof Manually

A5 Convertible - Opening Roof Manually
My 2011 A5 Convertible is having issues. The roof will not open. There is an error code displaying as B11A002
The display panel just read soft top can not be used.
I can find no instructions or video on line of how to open the roof manually, only how to close it manually. It was working fine until the other day until I had it half open cleaning around the seals and playing with the box in the boot as my storage box has never gone up like it is meant to.
I went to close the roof and it closed fine with the switch apart from at the last tiny bit, it juddered a little and the windows went up in a few increments like they were struggling. It closed as it should and never thought twoice before I went to open it the next day.
When driving along it says roof not secure and beeps at you all of the time. The roof feels very securely on.
I feel that if I could manually open it then I may be able to just put oit through a cycle like I used to with my A4 Cabriolet.
Really really don't want to have to take it to a main dealer as they will charge me ££££££'s and struggling to find an independent specialist in South Warwickshire in the UK.
Any help on opening the roof manually would be great.

If you still have this problem, I have been successful doing this:
If this doesn’t work then open the trunk and fold the compartment (black metal stiff thing) up and retry the switch. It won’t work but you should hear the rear compartment storage box clank. Repeat my process.
I learned that the storage box has sensors to make sure the rear edge (black metal thing) is fully open; and the front edge bar needs to be down; and there needs to be nothing between the magnets and the sensors that they are attracted to before the operation will allow the roof to work.
It all seems very random, but someone above gave me enough information regarding the magnets/sensors that it eventually worked.
- open the trunk
- put the rear seats down
- the convertible storage box has a fabric liner. Each side of the box has two magnets. Position and reposition the fabric and magnets to make sure they have contact on both edges.
- From inside the rear compartment there is the front edge of the storage box. It is a bar that hold the fabric of the storage box flat. With your hand, move the bar up and doesn't a few times. It doesn’t travel far but ultimately make sure it is down and flat.
- Recheck the magnets in the trunk.
- Close the trunk.
- Try to open the top with the switch normally.
