A5 facelifted video
#21
It's one of those facelifts that's different just to be different, but not necessarily better. Lexus has been guilty of some recent facelifts that had the same outcome. I do however like the new LED headlights. The light tube instead of the jewelry bulbs looks far cleaner and more modern.
I have a feeling I'll get used to this facelift, but it will still be one that really didn't need to happen. That's just a testament to how good the current A/S5 really is.

You'll also notice that people get out of your way more on the highway
The only downside is that you don't get to enjoy the beauty of your car from behind the wheel. The best you get is seeing your LED's reflecting in the back of an SUV in front of you, or an over the shoulder glance back at it in the parking lot.
Sometimes I feel like I'm paying all this money to give everyone else on the road something to look at

Does anyone know when the A5/S5 will be getting a complete overhaul rather than just a facelift? Just curious because I plan on trading up to an S5 in about 4 years or so. Thanks for any info...

I have to disagree with everyone here. The front end looks "better" than it did. I remember when the S5 was first announced and this board complained that the lights were too square, old looking. The A5 looks aged next to the A7 and A6, so it had to be done. I will miss the original aggressive LED design, but with Lexus and Mercedes all but copying Audi's design, I can understand why they had to do more to differentiate.
If anything I'm more disappointed in what Audi "didn't" do. With fierce competition from the new C Class Coupe and updated 3 series, I was expecting more of an update than headlights and tailights and for them them putting some of that "lightweight technology into the B8. Why does the S4 still have a better integrated rear decklid spoiler than the A5/S5 coupes? If the RS5 has to make due with the same power output and 4.2 V8, it should have been forced to go on a diet and do some cross-training.

Agree completely - the rear looks cleaner, but the front looks less so.
