Versus a 3,957 pound (unladen weight) RS4?
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black ;-)<ul><li><a href="http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/new_cars/Audi_A4/RS_4/Model_Features/compare_models.html?allCategories=1&cat=Motori zation&cat=DrvPerformance&cat=FuelConsumpt ion&cat=PowerTransmission&cat=Steering& ;cat=Weight

The S5 does excellent around the skidpad ".91 G "
Apparently even better than RS4 - but don't get me wrong - I like both cars...
I put my car on a diet too, probably weighs about 120-130 lbs less than it originally did.<ul><li><a href="http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FullTests/articleId=121924">S5 tested</a></li></ul>

S5 is a huge step forward for Audi
While it is physically a large car it has many things going for it:
Better weight distribution then B7 cars (less front engine overhang)
Revised suspension geometry
Revised steering geometry
Lighter weight
Horsepower per pound it is about half a pound behind the RS4 but it makes more torque - Id call it a wash. With some well chosen mods, the S5 is a potent machine.
Steve, come give ours a spin - it WILL change your mind.

Who really uses their parking brake for parking???
I never do, because on my current A6 I have found that using the parking brake tends to increase the rate at which my rotors warp. I just leave it in gear and call it a day. Any reason I shouldn't keep doing that?
