Fuel injectors question
So I'm pretty sure my fuel injectors are causing 3 misfires in my engine as well as a knock sensor 4 code, I plan to remove the intake manifold and take on this job myself, would you guys recommend just removing my fuel injectors and having them sent for cleaning or if they are misfiring does that mean I need completely new ones? If I need new ones am I good to buy some remanufactured ones from Rockauto and stick those in there? cheapest remanufactured ones ive found come to just around $800 for all 8..
Second question for you guys is when I go in to remove this manifold and replace the injectors are there any other things that are highly suggested to do while the manifold is off? replace gaskets, maybe a light DIY carbon clean, new knock sensor 4, etc etc.
Audi S5 2008 is the vehicle with 100k miles, thanks!

Ok, so talking about the 4.2L V8 CAUA engine. That would have been relevant qualifying info to put in the thread title.
Yeah, those V6/V8 injectors aren't cheap. Will a cleaning process produce ones that are operating to spec? Won't know till you try.
Keep in mind that the CAUA intake manifold changed from the electrically actuated one to the vacuum actuated one somewhere in 2009, iirc. So some specifics of IM process may or may not relate to the one you have.
