license plate holder or no license plate holder, on rear only
Do you guys think should have license plate holder, or put license plate with no license holder frame around it. Just wondering what people think looks better?

Was refering to the rear, my state doesn't require front license. Meant, do you think rear looks
better with no license plate holder, just the license plate?

Plain black metal plate bracket looks best.
Illinois has now outlawed plate coverings of any kind (clear, smoked, whatever) so IMO, the black bracket looks best against the black background where the plate goes, regardless of car color. Plate on its own not the best look (curled edges, rust, etc.). Dealer bracket, alumni of XXXX, My Other Car is a Rolls, Honk if You're Horny = NO.
