Yes. Just 4 screws holding it on. I put the screws back on, which is what you see in the pic. Looks better than 4 empty holes, which need to be deburred.

Thanks!!

And thanks for posting pics of yours when you did. I studied them intensely while waiting for mine to arrive! Yours were the only decent real life pics I found of an Ibis white S5. That helped pass the time!

Mike, being from beautiful So. Cal. Do you switch tires? Maybe kinda dumb to ask as the weather is always nice there. But here in the east, we'll have to deal with some snow and Ice from time to time and I'll need to switch over to all seasons, possibly Michelin Pilots.
How's the K&N working out?

Nope! Never need to switch tires here. With only about 7 inches of rain a year, and winter temps that barely get below about 45 for a low on ocassion, we run summer tires all year!

So far the K&N seems just fine. Scooting around town in sport mode I'm getting about 14.8 mpg, and about 27 hwy doing about 80-85. The new Escort 9500ix really helps there!

Cheers!

Right now I have it mounted dead center of the windshield, about 4-5 inches up from the dash. Using the stock cord, from the Cig lighter the curly cord wraps very nicely around the center dash, and have the cord tucked in between the console and center dash by the lighter, which holds it all nice and neat. And the smart cord controls are right at hands reach.

The stock suction cups are working out just fine.

Might keep it this way instead of hard wiring it.

Have eliminated the front license plate holder on my 1999 A-6, 2006 A-6, 2009 A-5 and now on my 2012 S-5. Front plate required here in ND, and did get the occasional warning with the A-6's. But not the 5 series. My opinion is that the driving lights distract a viewer (like the HP) and they do not notice the missing front plate...

Default Keeping both on.

I'm going to keep my front plate on. Not because I'm a Goody Two shoes, but because it's a very nice plate not many have or are able to get. It's an American Flag across the plate with "Veteran" XXX XXX beautiful plate instead of that hideous pumpkin colored Empire State plate.

I would wear that plate proudly as well!

Many thanks to You and the others for your service to our Country!

I am looking to buy a backseat cover for my dog and want to have it on hand before my car arrives in August. I was wondering if one of you who has already received your S5 would be willing to measure the width of the back seat so I know whether to order the L or XL?

I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
