My Tire Pressure Monitor light went on...
Was on a trip for about 5 hours and all of a sudden, my TPMS light went on. So I pulled over, looked around and everything looked ok, so I continued on, as I wasn't in a populated area.
It stayed on, so after another 15 minutes, I pulled over, all looked ok.
Then it went off and stayed off.
Any ideas of what's happening? It's been 3 hours since and tires are fine.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Was it the TPMS indicator or the TPMS malfunction indicator?
If it is the one with the line through it, it is the malfunction indicator...get used to it. Could be interference or some other gremlin. They come and go.
If it was the actual TPMS indicator, you could have a sensor going bad or just interference.
Eric.

It was the yellow TPMS indicator
The one that looks like a flat tire.
I was thinking since it was 5 hours on the road in 95+ degree heat, perhaps something happend to a one of the sensors. Hoping it was just a malfunction.
I guess tomorrow when I wake up, the first thing I'll do is go out an look at the tires to see if they're good.

Re: It was the yellow TPMS indicator
I had the same thing happen to me the other day.except my light stayed on Checked all the tires for pressure and they were fine. I called service and the manager told the sensor is sometimes sensitive. He told me how to reset using MMI...Auto settings.

Thanks for the input....
Guys
Thanks for the input. I just checked the car today and all looked fine. I'm going to find a tire shop and have them check the pressure (I'm on vacation and my gauge is home in my garage).
I'll check/reset the MMI once I make sure they are at the correct pressure. I think it had something to do with being how hot it was. It was a long drive in heat and perhaps it did something to a sensor.
