Save the manuals
Hey guys, I just joined the car and driver "save the manuals" campaign, and wanted to post this.
Please help the cause.
BUY A MANUAL!
If interested in reading the article click on the link below.
http://www.caranddriver.com/features...l-headquarters
If you want to join the campaign do one of the following.
1. Learn to drive a manual (If you don't know how)
2. Teach someone how to drive a manual.
3. Spread the word about the "save the manuals" campaign.
If you don't know how to drive a manual and you would like to learn and live in CT PM me and I would be happy to help.

Thanks. Thinking about learning manual before I purchase a 2013, but it's hard to even start when there are no resources around. Perhaps I'll just go automatic because of traffic and the SF hills.

My 3 kids all drive manuals and want buy anything else. My wife is the only one who has a automatic but would rather have a manual. She has been driving lexus's and that is the issue with that.
But your right about kids not knowing how to use a stick. Several years ago my son broke his right wrist in a basketball accident at practice. He couldnt find anyone to drive him in his car to the ER. Finally drove himself.

I know the feeling i drive a stick and i live in oakland and i refuse to take it to sf. Just too much to think about in a city with crazy drivers and slick hills. I can do fine on normal hills but the gradient is too much and i dont feel like eating up my clutch.
