Stalling on stop when cold

Stalling on stop when cold
A5 S-tronic, 3l TDI quattro. If the car is warm and I have to go to a full stop, when gear goes from D2 to D1 car pushes forward a little, RPMs pushes a bit up and then goes down to like 0.3 or so and then goes to the default position. However when the car is cold and have not warmed up, the RPM drop is a bit more severe and the engines stalls. Any ideas what this is? Faulty gearbox? Maybe a firmware update would help? Or an oil change? I just bought this car.

So the past few days I've been testing things out, and it seems when I have air conditioning/AC off, the RPMs do not drop and engine doesn't stall anymore, even when cold. However jolt is still there. Any ideas?
