i know its been discussed numerous times. but im still wondering...what is the answer?
does the US spec cars come with voice command signals for the nav, radio, phone etc?

negative.... button inactive WHICH pisses me off
Because my 2008 loaner A4 s-line has NO bluetooth phone prep installed but the voice control is still there...... and will take commands, even without a phone linked.

Answer to all of your questions
Here you go:
If you get an S5/A5 with Navi option it has different electrical system (fiber-optic) and no voice control despite the button. If you get it without tha Nav option, the electrical system is the same as in a current A4 and the voice control works (phone only just like in the A4) It makes no sence but this is how it is for now and for a while, knowing Audi they rarely change thigs rapidly.
If you dont get the Navi, you loose all the MMI controlls on the center council. You get MMI-like controls on the dashboard below the CD changer.
The salesman who sold you the car is clueless...
