Waiting forever...
So now stevens creek audi is telling me May 19th delivery date. I ordered this car back last september. It's like waiting for gidoh.
I've waited so long. If I tried to find stock that had:
- ibis white
- magma red
- technology
- b&o stereo
- 6-speed manual
- nav
- carbon fiber
... well. All that waiting would have been for nothing, right?
Except I'm not sure I'd feel the same way if I was driving it right now ... argh!!!!

There's an Ibis white w/magma red at the NY Auto show. Glad to see the
magma up against the white. It's not as bright red as the pics would show you. It's like a light wine color. Really looks good. Keman, make sure your order is in correct. I ordered in Sept and got mine in January.

much ogling at the NY auto show
The white S5 with magma interior was a big hit. At any given time there were about 4-5 people lined up trying to sit in it and have their pic taken.
I will second the opinion above about the magma. It was very subdued looking and not nearly as bright red as many of the pictures Ive seen on the various audi forum sites. Really a very nice contrast and I didnt hear a peep from anyone about gaudiness or garishness. Mostly you would here people get out and say, wow, that's the best interior around. And it really is. I spent a lot of time comparing cars yesterday and the BMW interior looks especially cheap once youve been checking out the Audis'.
And on another note, the R8 - well, they were basically going nuts over that car.

Re: much ogling at the NY auto show
Very true about the interiors of BMW. My friend was excited about the 3 series coupe having a power seat adjustment at the top of the seat for the rear passengers. I told him to go look at the S5 now and compare the same switch. What a difference!! Audi interiors can't be beat!

Re: The Interior color in Tuscan Brown in the White S5 at the NY Auto Show
Ive seen both in person, but under vastly different light sources. And of course, pics from cameras can look any color, so they are no help. But sitll, Id have to put money that the vehicle I saw in NY had a magma interior.
Whatever it was, I quite liked it, and I didnt like any versions of the Tuscan (real or pic) that I had seen previously.
