I've always liked the angel eyes (on BMWs not Audis). It's a signature item for BMW for sure.
On the other end, I also think Audi's LEDs are a signature item for Audi. I have seen a truck or SUV out here that had LEDs on it. I think they were PIAAs or something.

u have to admit though. If u ask 100 people i bet 99 of them don't even know about audi's led strip
and 3 of 10 cars with angle eye are not even BMWs. Its probably a n import with aftermarket headlights.

Was that on E90 Post? I think I read that flame fest. I say no, don't do it, esp. not on the E90.
I don't love the idea of LED strips on non-S (or non-Audi) cars, but it would depend upon the car. I say this not because I don't want to see copycats, but because the LED strips are integral to the styling of the cars for which they're designed, and not an afterthought. Simply tacking them onto a car that wasn't designed to have LED strips may look, well, tacked-on. It may work for some cars, but I really think the E90 is not one of those cars. Plus, corona lamps AND LED strips? Man, that will look ridiculous/excessive.
BTW, you can tell the guys over there that they're incorrect; in fact, corona lamps were ripped-off with great frequency, often by Audi modders. While this was blatant rip-off, it works slightly better for other cars to rip-off corona lamps because it doesn't look as tacked on as LED lamps might (doesn't make it not tacky, though!).

i have an e92 (coupe).. i agree it would look odd on the E90
I have a reaaly good idea though. I think its very promising. I am just waiting on the hardware to come so I try it out. Definitely will post it here and in the BMW forum so see everyones reaction.
I am planning to run them as drl only. When the headlights turns on, the strip will turn off and the angel eye will light up.

true - most people aren't car people but that might change with this Superbowl Audi Ad
coming out. I think both BMW had excellent designs with their Angel or LED lights. I don't think you'd want to run both on you BMW though. You can buy a LED retrofit that will light up your angel eyes with an LED color. That's what I would do to preserve the BMW identity but update it with the latest technology that Audi uses in their headlights.
