That is some impressive gas mileage. I could see the TT-S being a lot of fun.
and the new TT is pretty rare here in CA, seem more rare than an A5/S5. I considered the 335 before the S5, but now that some time has passed and everyone and their Grandma out here is driving one (335) - I'd probably pass. I like the idea of an RS4 and keeping it until the RS5 comes out.

Re: Audi TT 2.0T quattro...
I agree- I am planning to search all over California for best deal.
Yeah there are tons of dealerships in California so doing the extensive search is the way to go. San Diego dealers are pain to deal with. I only found one good one Hoehn and they do not have a lot of S5 or A5 so will look around.

The Mk1 was quite girly. The Mk2, not so much....
..ASF, mag ride, R8 steering wheel and significantly improved handling make it more of a true sports car, and more so than a cruiser like the A5 actually.
But yeah, the A5 has more of an American muscle car look to it. The TT is more Porsche-like.
Anyway, my masculinity is secure. Don't need to overcompensate with a car like some. So the more nimble, more fuel efficient TT is looking better and better these days.
No knock on the A5. It's a great car, and I'm still seriously considering it if a 2.0T comes out in time.

Thanks for the info! Didn't know the '09 2.0T quattro TT was available to drive yet. Any more info?
I'm seriously considering it. So any other impressions?
I was really impressed with the FWD 2.0 TT with the exception of the wheel spin. So it'll be interesting to see if the quattro version feels as light and nimble.

Haldex vs. Torsen?
Liked the MK2 TT, but some things that influenced my decision against the TT and ultimately in favor of the A5..
1. The 2008 2.0T was not avaiable with quattro (the 09 is) or a 6MT (is it available on the 09?)
2. The 3.2 was actually a little more expensive than the A5 configured the way I did. Lot less room and less practical (ours is still a 1 car household -- practicality matters a bit).
3. I believe the TT "Quattro" uses the Haldex differential instead of the regular and now 60-40 rear bias Torsen.
