I agree with Roswell, good way to get one cheaper than MSRP. But I'd worry about driveline wear and tear in addition to proper break in. Look at the miles and think about how many test drives, and extended test drives the car saw. But hey I'm debating if i could swing buying our demo!

heard they must keep it till january or something... discount wont be enough to jsutify the buy...
Clair Audi said their demo is already spoken for.
Would it be considered a used car?... if so, there won't be any gas guzzler tax so that sweeten the deal...

Friend of mine (audi sales rep) already sold their demo s5 but...
the buyer has to wait 2-3 months before he can take possession of the car. The dealership has rights to use it as a demo car until then.
Don't understand why anoyone would ever want to buy a car that they know ppl have beat on.
But on a side note... my test drives with that S5 were fun as hell.

In August, my dealer told me the demos had to be returned after 4-5 months....
I wonder if the high demand for the car changed that or maybe I was just given wrong info. This sucks as the only demo within 150 miles of me has the same specs. Looks like I've got 3 more weeks until there is another Phantom Blk/Blk S5 to share the road with in Indy.

Re: Until it starts to have problems. I test drove one with 180 miles on it. Broken in? i think not.
My dealer offered me the demo as well and it already has 1.5k miles on it! They said by the time I get it, there will be about 3k on the ODO. It really depends on how sweet the deal is. I for one wouldn't pay a dime over 50k for a loaded but used demo S5.
I just found a new one for sale so I think I may bite on that one instead.

Re: curious- as a salesman, how much off MSRP do you think a demo would be?
I know the buy out. But I'm not telling. Sorry. But expect your dealer to put it up for sale shy of MSRP, esp if they have it as a CPO.
