Default Where is the horn located?

Hello all,

I would like to wire in a powerful air horn and would like to find the wire that goes to the stock horn to tap into (so it can activate the airhorn relay).

Does anyone know where the horn is located? I have had the front underbody covers off and cannot find it!

Have not had my '5 bumper off, but I'd assume the B8's are all similar. On my A4 the 2 horns were mounted to brackets on the ends of the crash bar. Bracket and bolt on the back of the horn highlighted in green here. The horns are removed and hanging by the wiring because the crash bar had been out to install an intercooler.

Thanks so much. I will have to figure out a way to get at them without taking off the front bumper!

I decided it was too much of a project to take off the bumper to install the new horn!

Arrrggghhhhh, I"ve got a louder horn on my grandkids tricycle. I'm guessing they don't want to disturb people with a loud horn.

On my A4 I gained access to the horn by removing the panel that (at one edge) surrounds the camera.
To remove it you just pull forward (by hand) rather than with any tool, and it just pops off.
I used access to run a lead from the current horn wiring and install air horns with a separate relay using an all important diode to ensure no 'feedback' to the Audi electronics
