It doesn't need to be kept plugged in.
Thanks. Is there anyone in the DMV area with an OBD 11 who can help me turn off the Soundaktuator and the easy in/out seat adjustment?

Also people who have turned DRLs on with turn signals, do you think it makes them (turn signals) more difficult to be seen during the day?
Which light(s) you want to turn on when you open the door.

(I'm not talking about the center tach!)

Do you have a list for the codes for each variant? ( Quattro, etron, gtron, s5, rs5)
You can only change it to A5, S5, RS5 and you can't configure them. You gauges are set gauges all have set properties loaded in them. They're all customizable in the same way anyway.

Anyone found a way to get the ambient lights to come on when you open the doors and/or stay on after the car is turned off for a short time???
Mine turn off the second the car shuts off.

Do you mean the puddle lights in the door handles?

No - the interior ambient lights.
I would like to find a way to add them as welcome/coming home light settings.

The interior lights turn on depending on how much light there is. If the light sensor senses there is light out, they won't turn on. Make sure your light switch is on Auto.

Find the sensor and put some electrical tape over it so the car thinks it's night time all the time hehe.

My Headlights are set to auto.
At night, the Interior Ambient lights shut off IMMEDIATELY after the car is turned off....
Further, they do not turn on when entering the vehicle until the car is turned on...

Any car I've had with this feature, it's used as welcome and exit lighting - it will be on when the ambient lighting outside requires it, when entering or existing the vehicle (I.e., the Mercedes C63S, my wife's Kia, etc.).

I am pretty sure there's a setting we could adjust.

What's funny, I turned on "Welcome Lighting” in central electrics to test, but it actually turned off all the dome lights....
