Double-Edged Sword — The ability to “custom code” features via the OBDEleven & VAG devices. Yes, it’s great to be able to customize so many settings but it’s unfortunate that we have to buy an external device to enable them.

Unlock with remote and the interior light above the door handle gently fades in (white), then the foot-well lights (white), dome lights (white), then the light above door armrests (white). Once you open a door the dome lights go off leaving only the dome light of the open door on. Then when you start the car the lights all change color. Same happens when you shut the car off, lights turn back to white. Very cool! I know I'm a dork for liking this, but I appreciate the fine details that Audi did to create a unique experience.

Yeah, I reckon Audi shows far more attention to detail than BMW, at least in my limited experience. I bought the car for the big things, but the little things count a lot for ongoing satisfaction and day to day enjoyment of the car.

I'll add another one - I was vaguely annoyed that the centre console armrest stopped short of the tray. But the adjustable height works so well for me that all is forgiven.

Illuminated door handles (outside).

Love the volume control next to the shifter.

Passenger side mirror tilt when backing up.

Adjustable height...did I miss that?

Does it really do that? Mine stays at 6500 no matter what. Maybe because I live in Phoenix and it's always hot here...

take a look when you first turn your car on in the morning. Redline will start off at 5500 then move to 6500 after about 1 mile.

Maybe.

I keep it lifted to the first notch/detente and it's the perfect height to rest an elbow and also quickly access house key wallet from the console bin (with accessory tray from Amazon, of course)

It's also not so obvious that the armrest is shorter than the console bin when it is slightly raised.

If you don't have the arm rest all the way forward already, the arm rest is adjustable forward and backward as well.

I have found that there are sometimes when the car will start up at 6500 if it is warm enough outside. I think you are right, in hotter climates that will happen a lot more than in cooler climates.
