2017 A5 Cabrio Top Operation Question
I have a 2017 A5 that I bought almost a year ago as a CPO, hence the warranty will be expiring in a couple of months. The top lowers in a way that I find curious and the owners manual doesn't really address my question. I would like to assure this is "normal" (although I think a bit odd) before warranty expires.
When I depress the "Top Down" select button and hold it, all windows lower a few inches, and then the top goes down. So far so good, but if I continue to depress the button, the windows go back UP. So then I have the top down, windows up. (?). On other convertibles I've owned (Saab & BMW), all the windows LOWER when the selector is held depressed which seems to make a lot more sense.
Can anyone tell me if this is "normal" and, if so, what is the reason for such operational design?
Thank you.

my Porsche does that also. Never gave it much thought, but I assume it is becaause some people (me included) leave windows up in some circumstances, so don't always want them to drop. My BMW E93 same thing too, except that that one had a separate one touch button to drop all windows as well. Don't knlw if Uudi includes that.

my prior B8 '14 A5 and my current B9 '18 S5 both do this. definitely operating as designed.
