Some reported issues earlier in the thread when using a MAC if I remember correctly.

That's what I heard. But I did it first without using a Mac... that's really strange.

Perhaps try a USB formatted in FAT32? I'm sure you were unzipping the file on the computer and then moving the 4 files over to the device (not unzipping to the card/USB drive). Otherwise I don't know unless there is a problem with your card slots.

I will try FAT32. I unzipped the file on the computer and then moved them to the device. The 4 files are in the root directory. The slots are ok and I even tried both slots. Thanks.

I had trouble with both NTFS and exFAT initially. FAT32 has worked every time.

Best of luck.

Also remember that the USB stick has to be 32 GB or less (FAT32 won't work on anything over 32 GB anyway).

Fair point. I forget that not everyone is aware even if he is.

I formatted 128GB to FAT32 and it didn't give me any errors. Does that mean it won't work with the maps only? Which I just tried in my car, still no updates available....

The car will not recognize any USB stick larger than 32 GB.
