As my car still has 6 months of Audi Warranty coverage, my plan is to wait until I’m closer to that beginning of June, when my Audi Warranty expires to buy this extended warranty. I also want to check with my dealer and see if they have a relationship with Fidelity so that Fidelity pays them minus my deductible.

Plus the consumables on the P-cars is quite high, especially tires since they don't run a square setup compared to the A5-S5-RS cars. One Michelin P4S in 315/30R21 is $540, like you said, their "extra money" is well placed to cover expenses.

Sone of us believe in lots of insurance; some don’t. I fall into the later category. I keep my cars for a long time relative to most people, yet I’ve never bought an extended warranty or other protection. I guess I’ve been fortunate since the money saved - and then invested - probably paid for most of the purchase price of the S5.
