So I have been trying to read all the threads and it seems the consensus is the center dash and door speakers are no brainer replacements. In the B&O system it seems the dash ends are only useful with 3d enabled, same with the upper A pillar.

My question is, is it worth it to replace the lower A pillar tweeters? And if so with what?

Before you even do the Centre, do the A pillar bottom tweeters. Go for any of the silk dome Dayton Audio tweeters. They are lovely. Just be prepared to play around with a crossovers a little.

Would these work?:

By playing with the crossover, you mean the capacitor used?

Get a set of these

https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton...-4-Ohm-275-114

They are easier to mount.

or a pair of these

https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton...weeter-275-059

And yes the crossovers might need adjustment from about 4kHz upwards. Maybe even 5KHz, depending on how they work with your other speakers.

I appreciate all the help. The first set is backordered until June....are the ND25FA's harder to install?

Is this what you are talking about for the crossover?

Right so far, but Bobby's recommendation was the newer version because it is easier to install:

I was reading through the thread again and it looks like Mortys66 used the Focal TWU 1.5 tweeters......they look like an almost direct replacement for the stock position and have the crossover already installed. Is there a reason to use the Daytons over these?

I used the Dayton ND25 in my car. I used the bare element without a faceplate and then glued it into the audi tweeter bracket. Or you can buy the version with a faceplate and grind it down to snap into the car. I crossed at 5K. Initially I did 4K but it was too much overlap with the door midrange. Even then I'm running the treble at -2, so you might want to block up some of the holes in the center of the grille on the back side if you find it too bright (this is very common practice in car audio where its impractical to use power resistors)

You can't use the 30mm tweeter in the pillar. it's way too big.
