How Do You Like Your Head-Up Display?

I just checked and found a brightness control in the MMI for the HUD in my 2019 RS5. It does not solve the problem though. Mine is turned up all of the way in the MMI and I still have trouble seeing the HUD with my polarized sunglasses when the dash **** is also turned up all of the way. In addition, the MMI control appears to just set the brightness relative to the dashboard, as both the HUD and dashboard brightness change with the **** on the dash.
Personally, I would like to see the dash lights and HUD brightness controlled with two different ***** so they could co-vary. And, the HUD needs to get much brighter than the dash lights, or deal with polarization in some other way.

If you rotate the display in the MMI does it help with your polarized glasses? I had polarized lenses on during the time I had a '17 BMW and that did the trick. Just a 10 or 15 degree tilt did it. (I don't use the lenses anymore as the Dr. found polarized lenses caused a problem for my particular vision issues.)

Use mine all the time. Love it.

I have both, but the non-polarized just don't work as well if there is any glare. Try moving your head an inch or two to the right with your polarized glasses. That works for me, but it could be related to my specific prescription and lens.

It's really annoying to have to move my head frequently in order to see the HUD. Yes, I agree the glare with non-polarized glasses is just sometimes too much. Until someone can invent something to overcome that.... we have no choice.

A wild idea! Perhaps placing something like this on the inside of the windshield where the HUD projects or on top of HUD display glass on the dash may help?
