Typically, I use the SD card to play music in my MMI.
Before the update, I had almost no issues playing ANY song, syncing iTunes to the SD using Doubletwist, Export for iTunes, MusicMatch, etc.
After the update I have been having trouble playing certain music files, and it's taken several days to find out the problem.

Since the update, the MMI has trouble with songs OR album names that include special characters like "." or ":".
What's interesting is, the songs play fine if I navigate to the artist, album and folder itself - but it will NOT play through a playlist.
Apparently the playlist parser within the MMI cannot handle special characters.

After renaming the offensive songs and albums, everything works correctly!!!

If you have this issue, try the above and YMMV.

As syncing the SD card when you add music is a PITA, I am working with the developer of ARKMedia to resolve a multitasking bug on the iPhone which will allow an iPhone to be an "app" within the MMI. This will then allow the MMI to be a server, much like the now deprecated AudiConnect app...
