So here is a question that may have no known answer: Of all the members who have posted pictures of their part number labels, why is mine (Post # 90) the only one that says “Made in GERMANY?” Possibly because I have the ventilated seats?

It just seems a little odd to me.

could it be because these are from cars245 and that is how they are cheaper?

??? As they are still labeled as genuine VW / Audi parts? I wondered if it was because of the ventilated seats that I have versus the Nappa seats that are more common?

This may go down as yet another “not-so-great” mystery.

I am sure VW has suppliers across the globe, it may be just as simple as the vendor you bought your headrests from sources it from a particular wholesaler or manufacturer vs. the one that cars245 works with? Is there any difference in the leather on the headrests if you get ventilated seats? I would think the seats are perforated but the headrests would be like the rest?

Trying to order Euro headrests but stuck on color of stitching for my 2019 A5 cab with standard black leather. Has anyone identified color/name.

When I placed my order with Europrice, they asked for my VIN so they could match the headrests to the interior.

  • Gloss Black Left and Right Side RS5 Wings / Vent Trim
  • Gloss Black Rear Rings - Sportback
You should be able to pull the part numbers from the photos below. If not let me know.

I don't think I've heard of anyone being able to remove the existing side badges without some sort of damage to them. I had my PPF installer replace the chrome badges with the black ones and they tried heat guns and other things but ended up snapping one in half and the other got bent out of shape. In the end my goal was to replace the existing ones with the black ones so I didn't really care if the chrome ones got damaged.

Also if you have the black optics package do you have to order both front fender RS5 AND black door trim for the Black RS5 badges for the cars? It looks like I only need the front fender L&R to replace my black silver RS5 side logos. Thanks
