Default RS5 B9 - Drive System Fault - Contact Workshop

This has happened 3 times now, so obviously a fault. Wondering if you have had this issue and what the problem was...

It has happened when accelerating over uneven or slippy ground, and there is some slip on at least one of the wheels, power is reduced and a warning light comes up on the dash. The same as the one in the image, but my car is an RS5. The text goes quickly and then the two warning symbols remain top and bottom. The car is now in limp home mode, or at least reduced power mode. When I pull up and restart the engine the warnings are gone and car drives as normal.

I tool the car to my tuners and they could not find any issue. There are no fault codes stored.

From what I have read this warning can be triggered by quite a lot of different causes. Cam shaft sensor, Fuel pump module, stop start system.....

there should be some codes stored. whether hard or soft codes or even pending, the dealership should be able to provide answers... keep us posted.

I have not seen this on my 2019 RS5 with 40K miles. I don't go off-roading, but do like to play some on wet and snowy surfaces by accelerating and braking to test traction. Have you taken it to a dealer instead of a tuner? Perhaps next time you should limp to a dealer and keep the engine running so they can see...

I’m not sure I’d trust those elves unless they reside in a tree!

I never realized there really are German elves that live in trees, looks like decent Audi mechanic.
