RS5 pricing
Hey guys,
I have a 2018 S5 SB and have just been itching to buy a RS5 ever since they came out.
I finally got the courage to do some serious inquiries.
Listed is the breakdown they are giving me. I wanted to get my fellow B9 friends thoughts on this.
I know there are a lot of threads on pricing. My S5SB prestige has 50,300 miles on it and a dent on the side door from someone hitting me in the parking lot
Much appreciated!
edit : sorry forgot to mention it’s a 2021 RS5 sport back! Msrp 87,250. Tango red outside with black inside. Dynamic package, black optic and RS diver assist.

Price is all relative, since we have no idea what you're buying other than an RS5. No year, packages, options mentioned. For instance, if this was an absolute base model 2021 RS5 (MSRP $76k), that'd be a rip off.

I’ve heard from my dealer that discounts on any RS model have been slim to none lately. They have sold all of their RS5s at or within a few % points of MSRP.
Crazy considering leftover 19s were going for 20%+ off as recently as late last year; I thought that was telling that maybe the market had gone a little soft on the RS5 model. When I saw 50+ 2021 units inbound in my area I thought for sure some would sit a bit and force discounts since the 19s took so long. Nope, the demand curve reset on the 21s, and they all went quickly at sticker (some launch editions went above sticker).
Clearly hard to compare 19 to 21 pricing, but also realize that as an RS model there is zero marketing/manufacture sales support in the form of incentive and rebates. Assuming $4750 is tour discount off the $87,250 MSRP that’s not horrible for an RS in today’s market.
also, Sportback or coupe? From my experience, SB are harder to discount. . .

$4750 off sticker is the best discount I have seen or heard of for a 2021 RS5. Most I have seen or heard on the forums is about $1000 off sticker, with maybe some discounts on things like window tints, AudiCare, etc. Cannot compare 2021 sales to the discounts that were available on the 2019s. Audi started discounting the 2019s very heavily when the 2021 mid-season refresh was announced. Hard to move what was effectively a "2-year old" car when a new, refreshed version was about to hit the streets.

Agree, $4750 off sticker is a pretty respectable discount on a new mid-cycle refresh car in its first few months in the USA. That said, there are plenty sitting on the lots - some more than 3 to 4 months now - in the Chicago area. Id imagine that discounts will be forthcoming for serious buyers.

Thanks guys for the advice! 4750 off sticker is definitely aggressive and what I’m getting for my S5 SB is definitely aggressive as well given the fact it has a dent on the side with 51K miles. I think it’s definitely a good deal that I should close on this week.
Now the tricky part...White or Tango Red?
