Default RS5 Sportback Easy Entry Not Working

I have a 2019 RS5 Sportback. I just took my car in for service and had an A6 loaner with easy entry. It reminded me that this feature does not work in my RS5 Sportback.

I have gone to menus/vehicle settings/front seat and have checked and unchecked the Easy Entry box several times. But it doesn’t work.

Does anyone out there have this feature in their RS5 SB that’s working?

Either I need to go to the dealer to get it fixed or it’s not a working feature despite the menu option. I’m not sure hence the request for feedback.

Thanks!

Not sure about the RS5 but in my S5 Coupé I had to enable this feature using the OBD Eleven to “code” this feature in. As far as the S5 SB & RS5 SB versions, as there are rear doors, it may not be a supported feature / option.

Same here. Since heavy winter coats and a round heated steering wheel don't mix well, I too would love to make this feature work. Please post a solution if you find one. TIA.

Another coupe owner that successfully coded easy entry. I could see it being “blocked” on a sport back. Imagine crushing your kid’s or friend’s knees…

You need the memory seats for the Easy Entry to work. The Coupe comes with this as standard which is why it can be enabled.

I have memory seats on my RS5 SB with all functionality working (memory, massage, etc) but the seats do not move when I exit and enter the vehicle like they did on the A6 loaner I used.
The A6 loaner was a four door.

As I mentioned there is an Easy Entry option on my MMI menu for the Driver Seat and Easy Entry is checked. But this may only be to activate bolster deflating and inflating and not seat movement.
I appreciate any feedback out there and will check with my dealer tomorrow.

The easy entry in the mmi is for the bolsters from what I recall. It’s not to move the seat back and forward.

You have to enable the back and forward via a OBDeleven or vcds tool. I used the OBDeleven doing the below.

Easy Entry
Seat Adjustment Drivers Side
Long Coding
Change Easy_Entry_front to Active
Press and hold green check mark to accept

Also, many other things you can do via this post.

easy entry is not part of any B series car in the US

it would have to be coded separately as mentioned above

Had to Google what easy entry was I thought maybe it was keyless entry by another name

so I have a 2021 rS5 sport back And my car doesn’t do that, to be fair I’m new to Audi and luxury cars so I wasn’t aware that that was even a feature or an option that existed… my car does have memory seats, I will see if I can get it to work and get back to you guys
