I wanted to find out who loosened the rocker panel trim. the body shop or tire store. I had date and mileage for the bodywork, but not the tire, and didn't want to call them.
But, I did have a TPMS alert on the day of the tire change, so I checked the ABS controller with VCDS and found it maintains a log of TPMS events and calibrations.
However, date info is given in months, days, hours. The number of months must be from the date of manufacture, so I couldn't determine the TPMS event date without the manufacture date.

VIN decoder on this site doesn't show a date. There's another sticker on the driver's door, but no date on it. Any ideas on how to find it other than asking the dealer?

(I did find the odometer reading in KM in the TPMS log, which, when converted to miles, revealed that the tire change was done before the body shop got hold of it, so the problem is theirs to fix.)

You could always trigger another TPMS alert now, read the encoded date as today and then work backwards from that.
