My dealer isn't even making appointments yet for the PODS recall due to the limited parts availability. They performed the 4G and put me on a notification list for PODS.

This car barely has storage space and now it has less. On the Plus side I get Audi Motion free for 4 years. The passenger seat looks as it did when I dropped it off but I heard them talking and it takes 4 hours.
It's been confirmed that that's where the 4g module goes. Was there likely a better solution? Yes, but that's where engineers decided to put it. If I had to bet it's just easier there than any where else, and given the likely volume the fix had to be quick for dealers to do.

I’d also add, “ . . . and keep the cost as low as possible to VAG.”

Yep. I guess 3M command strips cost more than zip ties, otherwise they could have just fastened it near the obd port vs mucking up the storage bin.

I received my recall / schedule an appointment letter a week ago. I promptly filed it. I'll wait another six months...

I am scheduled for 3G/4G and the PODS in mid-April. Not doing the 4G dongle and wouldn't mind them replacing the bottom leather cover on my ventilated S-Sport seats as they had some funny wear.

I assume we can trust the electronic signal that the "passenger airbag is on" in the upper console (with a passenger actually in the seat)?

My car has been at the dealer for 10 days having the PODS recall and one other minor repair performed. Hoping to get it back this week.

I finally received my car after the PODS repair was performed and there is no visible difference in the seat. The cushion and heating element were replaced, but not the leather seat covering. One thing to keep in mind with this repair is that you will have to wait at least a few days if the dealership does not have the parts in stock, as was the case for me.
