Mine was tinted right after purchase with some 3M film (probably not top of the line). It ended with lovely vertical scratches in both windows.Glad it was included in the purchase and not extra.

Sorry to hear that. I think it depends on the particular car and possibly the quality of film. Your car was brand new at the time so maybe the seals hadn't worn in yet. Mine is 2018 with 25K.

I bought it CPO with about 7500 miles on the odo so the seals should have worn in. Maybe some cars have different tolerances inside the door. Most of the time, I'm looking straight out the front so they are not that top of mind. You just ignore them after awhile.
