Told dealer twice not to wash my car... and they washed my car.
Took my car in for service yesterday. Told the service adviser and the guy prepping my car to not wash my car. They both ensured that my car wouldn't be washed. Today I went to pick up my car, asked the adviser if they washed my car, and he said no. Went home, saw a bunch of water spots on lights and grill. Pull footage off dashcam and they washed my damn car with a pressure washer. With the Xpel film I only hand wash with a sponge.
I am going to have to start putting up signs in both English and Spanish to say DO NOT WASH MY CAR. Nothing irritates me more than spending 2 hours washing/detailing your car the morning you took your car to the shop, and then come back with water spots all over your car. At least they hand washed it this time instead of running it thru the scratch machine.
I called the service director to report this and the adviser called me back asking what they could do to make up for it. I told them nothing and just please have better communication between staff and please don't wash my car next time.

I wouldn't be as pissed off if it wasn't actually dirtier after I got the car back. I washed and waxed it that same day before I took it in and it was in pristine condition. When I got the car back there were water spots everywhere. I thought maybe if my car was very clean they wouldn't touch it, but no they have to wash it anyway. SMH.

The dealer washed my car when I told them not to. I called and complained and they said their detailer would fix it (the in house guy)
I was skeptical that anyone at the dealer could do anything productive with my car so I didn't bring it back there. Paint is swirled to **** and I've only ever brought it to the touchless and sealed after that.
Then I remember it's a lease and I dont really give a damn until the RS5 sportback purchase.

That's so funny. I thought I was the only one crazy enough to put a sign inside the car when taking it in for service. It looks like I am in good company.
