I respectfully disagree. Often times the person with an impressive home and/or a luxury car are terribly overextended so neither are a reliable gauge of "success." I find it best not to judge a book by its cover.

My choices were Audi S4/5, or Mercedes c 43amg.
I did not choose the Mercedes because of 55% residual only after 36 months resulting in $1050 payments.
Others on this forum have chosen Audi S5 for their personal reasons.
You are welcome to buy Kia or Hyundai .

I thought I liked the stinger in the first shots I saw of it, but it’s not doing it for me in those pics. Possibly because they’re souped up rice versions, which is a polar opposite quality to what I expect draws many of us to Audi. A riced up Audi would be considered appalling as opposed to attractive.

Hyundai started trolling Audi/Bmw/MB design chiefs and execs. about 10 years ago and it has paid off very well for them and car enthusiasts. They are putting out some beautiful designs lately. I am intrigued by the Stinger GT and will test drive one when available for kicks and giggles. It sounds impressive if you believe the automotive pre-press.

I know it’s foolish and financially wreckless to look at it this way, but I could never pay $50k for a Genesis. Yet I have no problem paying $60k for an S. Unfortunately, Audi knows that. Hyundai has an uphill battle here, but I wouldn’t underestimate it.

Not sure I would want to tell my buddies I drive a Stinger GT, but I would not mind telling them I drive a Singer GT!

Anyone who looks at a stinger and says that's practically an A5 sportback needs to have their eyes checked. It falls short at literally every measure. Not fanboying, just not going to take the time to mark up a photo with all of the things that are objectively inferior.

Also, anyone who has owned a Hyundai/Kia in the past few years knows that they start out great but don't age well and have some problems that practically never pop up in German cars (unless the German car is a lemon from the factory)

Well I did look at the g80 sport before I ordered my s5 sport. I will say the Genesis is way more car than I was thinking it would be. They have come a long way and build a very respectable car and will start to eat away at German sales. The last thing I am concerned about is what others think about my car/house or anything else for that matter. To be honest they would be the last type of person I would hang around with anyway. Some of the best people I have met come from or have almost nothing but would still give their shirt off their back. Anyway, the reason I went with the Audi over the Genesis was the ride and feel of the car and in the end the interior of the Audi sold me over not just the Genesis but over other German cars as well. The Genesis is a great looking car on the outside but the interior isn't quite there yet but they are getting close.
