Use AudiCare or not?
I bought a 2019 A5 SB in February and the computer is now telling me to change the oil, 9 months later with 4,000 miles on the odometer.
I purchased AudiCare when I bought the car, but am wondering if I should just pay out of pocket for the oil change to save AudiCare for a more important service (more like 10,000 miles / more than 1 year). What would you do?
Bonus question: should I rotate the tires? I generally do every 6,000 miles, but I'm thinking I do it now as I don't want to wait to 8,000 miles (or more).
Thanks to all for your advice!

How much time or miles since the last service? The dealer should have the car's service history.

Check the actual “Build Date” on the sticker that’s around the bottom curve of the drivers door. If your car was built in November or December of 2019 and the dealer did not reset the factory build date oil change counter as part of the Final Delivery Prep, that might be what you are seeing.
In my case, my car was built in May of 2018 but I didn’t pick it up u til June of 2018. My dealer “neglected” to reset that counter, consequently I got my oil change reminder 12 months from the build date, not the delivery date — and I had mileage similar to yours.

a 19 includes the first service free, exclusive of AudiCare

Correct, except it should be a 10k mile service. I would wait until you are as close as possible to the 12mo from delivery or 10K miles to get your money's worth out of the free service.
I personally change oil in all VAG cars we have at 5K mi intervals. But that's a different story and different debate.
