Default air suspension bags and springs the same thing?

my indie wants 1770 for new "suspension air bags" on both sides to fix a severe lean to the front left that started after a fight with a deer and curb (why did i try to miss it??).

after a search i came across the arnotts. but they are air springs, are these two different parts or just same part with two names?

thanks.

Yes. The allroad uses air bags on each corner to serve as the "springs" in the suspension.

Default labor is 1.5 hours each side. OEM is 555-600 each corner, Arnott is 299.00

Why both? sounds like only 1.

That is not correct for airsprings. Struts and brakes yes but not air springs.

He may be under the impression that the strut is integrated with the spring which is not correct and may indicate that he is not familiar enough with your car. Unless you messed up your strut as well and he is going to it as well. In which case you would need two struts and one air spring. Of course if your strut is bent and the air spring is just not making a seal any more, you may need just need the struts. Hard to imagine that the strut is damaged though without other catastrophic damage to your control arms etc. My guess is your spring was just on it's way out whether you hit a curb or not.

my insurance guy cant see it untill next week, so i drove it home yesterday. parked it overnight on level 2 and it didnt drop at all, so apparently it only dips when it is left in level one.

Mine, fixed one. Arnott, no problems. $530 installed with an expensive (reliable) indy.
