Default Air Suspension Issue--Please Help!

I recently purchased a 2005 allroad with 84000 miles. The previous owner told me that the air suspension system worked fine, but when I picked it up, the system did not raise the car past level 2.

Anyway, on the drive home, the system just shut off. The lights on the level control system went off and the dash MIL turned on.

Back home, I scanned codes, and found:

00668 - Supply Voltage Terminal 30
31-00 - Open or Short to Ground

Clearing this code results in it turning on again immediately.

The car has sat for about two weeks (with me driving it once), and the suspension has dropped to somewhere between "1" and "2", so it would seem that I do not have any major leaks.

I checked the fuse (both visually and with a DMM), and it is fine. I also checked the relay, and it is fine. I pulled the cover off of the relay, and I am able to get the compressor to run by engaging the contacts with my finger.

The compressor could be on its way out, but I am not certain that is what is causing the problem, as it would seem that the system should be able to be on until the compressor is requested to run.

Any help is appreciated.

One more note: the eRwin manual suggests that there may be a short or an open somewhere in the electrical system, but I do not know where to start looking.

My allured is also a 2005 with almost the identical mileage.
I wish I could offer some help. It seems to me that at least you can rule out air bags. Thats a good thing since the car stays up.

When you say the lights on the level control system turned off, was the car trying to reach a certain level.
Could you hear the compressor running prior to that?

When you restart the car, does the system start up again each time and attempt to reach a set level?

The system stopped working while I was driving. The car was at level 2 and I do not believe it was trying to raise.

The system does not turn on any longer. The (green) lights on the level control switches never turn on and the dash light (yellow) stays solid.

I figured it out! (But I feel a little silly...)

There are TWO fuses for the air suspension system--one under the dash, and one in the main fuse panel (by the driver's side of the dashboard). The problem was the fuse in the main panel.

The system does not work 100% (it does not seem to go higher than level 2), but it works.

Default 07 S8 Compressor issue -

Ive got a compressor issue issue on a 2007 S8. Runs non stop. Pulled the battery. Replaced relay 373 under dash. Still has issue...runs non stop.

Is there only one Relay? under the dash or?

Appreciate the thoughts.

Thanks.
